At the age of 26, Mel Donenfeld opened Northwest Autobody in 1976. The business provides major auto body collision repair in North Idaho, Eastern Washington and Western Montana and is Gold Class certified by I-CAR – an international organization which promotes the highest level of technical skill in the collision industry. NWAB has been named the Best Auto Body Shop in Bonner County in several publications each year for more than 20 years. In 2014 Northwest Autobody opened a second Bonner County location in Ponderay. Northwest Autobody is locally and family owned and has deep ties to the region. In 2023, Northwest Autobody purchased the iconic Accurate Collision in Bonners Ferry. All three shops are state of the art.
